More "art" that drives me insane...

Strippers of the world, rejoice! What you do is no longer considered to be shameful, demeaning or degrading… It can now be classified as a work of art! You probably think I am kidding, right? You’d also think I would be joking if I told you that someone would pay $100,000 to have a “security guard” strip in an art museum. What about an idiot that has too much fucking money, does not know what to do with it, so he spends $160,000 for some fucking words to be stenciled on the floor of an art museum? Guess what, I’m not joking at all here. Both of these "works of art" actually exist as reported in an article from Newsweek titled “Buying art you can’t take home.” You can't make this shit up...

Beads for Boobs?

“Beads for Boobs!” This is what Mardi Gras is all about, right? Mardi Gras as we know it is no longer exclusive to Bourbon Street and New Orleans. The drunken festivities of Fat Tuesday have spread across the country bringing debauchery, foolishness and regret along with it. Here in Buffalo, people participated in a little New Orleans style parting on Fat Tuesday, but there was a twist added on to the revelry. Sure, we recognize that traditionally on Fat Tuesday, if a woman flashes her tits, you give her beads. But, what if “Beads for boobs” took on a whole new concept, such as a contest where the prize is literally boobs? Well, this added twist became a reality here in little Buffalo, NY and has garnered us some national media attention.

Should I get back to my roots of writing?

When I first started writing this blog, I was incorporating stories that were real life experiences from when I was young and stupid. Young and stupid, we’ve all been there. This is the time in my life where the title and concept of ”Inside the mind of an idiot” was born, had I come up with this idea later in life, I would have titled the blog “Inside the mind of an asshole”.

Ask an Asshole: This is why people may hate their mother in-law

Miss Manners has been a breeding ground of hate that continues to inspire Ask an Asshole columns With people’s false sense of sophistication and or entitlement, I do not see that changing anytime soon. There is that stigma or stereotype surrounding mother in-laws… You know it, the dreaded mother in-law. Well, this stereotype is on full display in this Miss Manners article that I had come across. Holy shit, the son of the woman who wrote in for advice might actually dread his mother the way Charlie Sheen’s character on “Two and a half men” despised his on air mother.

Super Bowl Prop Bet Predictions

Well, it is Super Bowl Sunday, the most over hyped sporting event for the most overrated sport. Some people want this day to be a national holiday… I think that these people are fucking idiots. It is a day where I want to kick people who talk about their numbers in their Super Bowl square pools because it is fucking annoying. No one else gives a shit about their numbers, so shut the fuck up!  So to get into the spirit of today, I am going to annoy people with my predictions of prop bets that I found across the internet. Why prop bets? Because, I could care less about the details of the actual game. Let's see how many I get correct.

A lesson Lisa Khoury learned the hard way...

I am not schooled in journalism. I did not even take a journalism class as an elective in my college courses, so I am not going to say that I am an expert on this particular field. I write opinion and or advice columns from time to time because it is a creative release for me. There is no right or wrong, it is my perspective on things in most cases. For as much as an asshole I can be, even I have boundaries and use common sense when it comes to the topics I discuss. I voice some strong opinions and have yet to receive any harsh backlash. Why is that? I tip toe the line and know that some areas are sensitive subjects amongst people. For example, ones race, I avoid the topic like the plague because it is easy for points to be misconstrued, taken out of context, twisted and basically come across horribly. Case and point, Lisa Khoury an assistant editor for The Spectrum, a student newspaper at the University of Buffalo, learned this lesson the hard way… a lesson that is priceless and possibly more valuable than anything that pricey tuition will cover.
